Hotel Sun Island

« 1. Check in is unprofessional, after getting my ID, front desk verified my phone number, after this step, they requested to see my original reservation receipt, which was very confusing. I asked something wrong? They said they just need to check. (Most of holiday in express can finish check in in 30 second, this one takes much longer time). 2. The hardware of hotel is good. 3. Breakfast choices are very limited, there was a purple sweet potato porridge they did not label it, I asked staff this...

« The property is a little bit outside of the city, but honestly, that was part of the charm! The owners are very kind and accommodating. Even though my party did not speak the best Chinese, we were checked into comfortable and clean rooms. We loved our stay there and it is foreigner approved! »

« Small error during the check-in process : on the number of nights of my stay and the fact that the room was already paid so they had to double-check twice. The room was quite spacious but may need a refresh. The food at the cafe (after 10pm) was very disappointing. The one at the chinese restaurant though was very good. Convenient since there is an ATM in the lobby. »

« The hotel is showing it’s age. The carpet is old and dirty. The bed is as hard as a board. Breakfast had set menu where you pick from A to D everyday. It wasn’t quite good. The breakfast room was not very appealing. I was there during the virus outbreak where I had to be evacuated to one of their sister hotel since this hotel was very close to the train station. The sister hotel was way better although I only spent 1 night. I would recommend staying near the city center. »

« 1.Aircon not working properly 2.staff not helpful and friendly 3.paid room rate with free breakfast 3 people,but hotel asked to pay additional 1 breakfast even we only have 3 adults to have the breakfast. 4.hotel staff called to refund the breakfast money after we check out the hotel but asked we go down to the hotel to collect the money. »
