« 1st time at a yurt. The room was nice. The place was in a more secluded area, but not far from highway access. Being far out, there wasn't a sewer system in place, so the toilet system took us off guard. Overall, nice place and staff was great to work with. »

« What a delightful find for our family of 8! Lots of room for everyone to spread out and relax between the 2 yurts. Beds and furniture were comfy, the interior lighting (esp around the inside top edge of the yurt) gave a cozy feel, and everything was spic and span clean. The deck with picnic table and shade umbrella would have been the idyllic place for us to gather while grilling and enjoying the amazing view and sweet breezes -- if we only would have had just one more night! « Absolutely loved staying here and Jacob and Morena are top notch hosts! We love to get out and about and they were able to suggest some really awesome places to visit. « We were making a multi-day road trip around the Big Island and needed a place to stay after a couple of days in Volcanoes NP. We chose the Lava Bus because it was such a unique property. We were so happy we did! It is a bit of a drive to get to any services (around 20 minutes to gas/groceries) but it was an amazing location for seeing the stars at night and enjoying peace and quiet. It felt very remote, but at the same time the bus itself was so well-appointed that it felt somehow luxurious....

« I enjoyed my stay at this VRBO. It was very cozy and pleasant and in a good location. I enjoyed the fact that it was a ways out of the city but still close enough for a convenient drive to stores and restaurants. The host was very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this for 1 or 2 people. »

« This lovely farm cottage was a perfect place to relax after exploring the incredibly diverse island of Hawaii. It is situated off the beaten track of Kona and the resort areas but conveniently enough to the Volcano National park, South Point, and Black Sand Beach. Couldn’t ask for nicer hosts. Really enjoyed fresh fruit from the farm and hope to visit again in the future. »

Location allowed for good options each day as it was less than 2 hours from Hilo, and only an hour away from Hilo . House is great and host is super responsive.
