« The property was not only located in the most convenient location imaginable (I was working in the castle, which is literally just across the road!), but the hotel is very nice in itself. « Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it. The room and bed were comfortable, but the kettle was a bit rubbish and not convenient to use (it was connected to the plug which was behind the television) The breakfast was pretty average, not the best but you had enough options. « The room was comfortable but very small. The dining room was very noisy on Saturday evening, being next to the small bar. It needs more soft furnishings to reduce the reverberation from people talking very loudly. Unusual to be given an exact time for breakfast. The signage for which entrance to use to get into the hotel is not obvious when you drive into the car park. »

« fantastic and charming place! Be prepared to walk up the steps on the inside but it's very delightful once you're in. The bed is super comfy and the shower was brilliant and the view is amazing. East walk to the station, ferry port, and coastal walk. Lots of interesting books to read. If you make sure the windows are totally shut the road noise will be less noticeable. « This was a brilliant place for a couple of nights to explore all the island had to over. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of tea and coffee for my morning brew, the biscuits were a very nice extra touch too. Staff were helpful and friendly when checking in and out. Will return in the future. »
