« The Hotel has so much potential but there is a clear lack of care. During breakfast the linen was dirty. The breakfast was poor considering it cost R200 per person. The hotel is not cheap, but leaves a lot to be desired. »

« A terrific property set in a quiet location close to Nottingham Road amenities. A perfect place to base to explore the Midlands. Staff were excellent - we were the only two guests staying at the time and were extremely well looked after. »

« Accueil très agréable belle chambre , vu le temps froid et humide nous avons pu profiter de la cheminée . Par contre grande déception pour le repas soit disant gastronomique, je n ai pratiquement rien apprécié aucune recherche pas de goût ou trop de sel!!! Dommage!! Dommage aussi pour le spa impossible de réserver des soins personne a l accueil!!! »

« I regret booking this place, it’s very dull and needs a lot of maintenance, the wardrobe was outside our room, how in earth do you expect people to keep their clothes in the wardrobe placed on a passage where everyone has access on? There was no dustbin in our room and the toilet, I was not even told where the kitchen was, I booked for 2 people, but there was one glass, one towel for the entire 2days. We didn’t have the remote for the gate, so everytime we had to go out we had to phone because...

« We were breaking our journey, so only there overnight, but it was a great stay. Wonderful having the animals strolling outside. Ideally a longer stay would be better to experience more that's on offer. Facilities were good. Direction signage could be better placed. »

« On this website this hotel is a PET FRIENDLY property. We booked a Pet Friendly room but upon arrival were told the room we booked was not pet friendly. They wanted us to move to a much smaller room which we refused to do. They then told us that we would not be allowed in the dining or bar area with our puppy and if we wanted to order anything we would have to stay in our room and order room service. To get to this property you have to drive through an unsavoury area, we could not risk driving...

« They are doing renovations at the property, and that took away from the stay. Also, they are new at this and there is room for improvement. I am sure when renovations are done, and they are more accustomed to running it. Things will be much better. »

« The rooms themselves were great and the breakfast was delicious. However, there is a shared kitchen which is available to prepare any other meals…it is not in good condition at all and needs some serious TLC if the space is to be offered for guest use. For example the oven is FILTHY, the sink is perpetually full of used, dirty dishes and cutlery/crockery/glasses/cookware all need to be upgraded/replaced. « Esme, Andrew & Conny’s hospitality was amazing! We stayed for 5 nights in 2 different rooms, the standard room then the Luxury cave suite (both were great but the cave suite is out of this world! Jason, the chef is so passionate about food & that really comes through in the meals, the food here is truly lovely. All staff were so friendly & the local tips provided by Andrew set us up to ensure our time was spent perfectly whilst staying in Drakensberg. The farm has loads of cute animals,...

« Nous avons fait une étape d'une nuit (a l'aller et au retour) dans ce charmant Guesthouse, où nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement. Petits bungalows répartis dans un beau jardin....tout le confort, très bien entretenu, petits déjeuners "livrés" le matin sur la terrasse. Une voiture est nécessaire pour se rendre au centre ville et environs de Pietermaritzburg......à découvrir et y revenir .... »

« The accomodation and our room was very clean and well equipped. Staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Parking spots are available right in front of the house behind a gate. Pool was clean, but we didn’t have a chance to use it because of the weather. »
