Great Truckee Vacation
We stayed here for 4 nights for an end of summer getaway. The cabin was very clean, I was impressed! It was located on a quiet street in a nice area. The communication with the property mgmt team was amazing- they responded right away to everything. We had everything we needed, including the hot tub which was wonderful! The only comment I have is the mattress in the upstairs loft was a bit uncomfortable, but we still slept pretty well. We stayed at a different place last summer but we all agreed we would definitely rather stay at this one again!

A perfect mountain getaway!
From the moment we stepped in we knew this was the right cabin for us! The classic A-frame architecture yet modern furnishings made it perfectly comfortable for our family of 5 over Thanksgiving. All of the bedrooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable and warm. The house had plenty of dishes, kitchen and cleaning supplies which was nice. I only wish they had a frying pan and a cookie sheet. We only have two complaints: 1) The morning/midday sun coming through the top living room windows is blinding! Some sort of shade option should be considered. 2) The oven kept turning off and on. AvantStay was great and sent out a handyman (on Thanksgiving day) however when he arrived the oven was working. It went out again and sadly our turkey never cooked. Luckily, the cabin is located in close proximity to town so we grabbed a few pre cooked turkey breasts for our Thanksgiving dinner. Besides the oven hiccup, the cabin is cozy, the property grounds are gorgeous, and our kids had a great time playing in the snow in the front yard and sledding out back. Our stay was very close to perfect. I’d highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway in scenic Truckee, and would definitely book with AvantStay again!

Be Bear Aware
Property was a good fit for the family. Nice neighborhood and easy access to everything. The only problem was the bear/trash container door was broken so we could not use. Notified avantstay when we got there and the last night we put a bag of trash in there and sure enough it was strewn in the street in the morning. I guess the bear knew it was not working correctly. Otherwise, all was good with our stay.

Great Cabin, great location
Overall great cabin and great location. Would rent the place again. Just a few things that could use some fixing. 1. King size bed in downstairs bedroom was uncomfortable and lumpy. And was shorter than a regular king bed. Luckily there was just two of us and we moved to the upstairs queen size bed which was much more comfortable. I would recommend AvantStay replace that king size bed. 2. Be careful about using the items that look complimentary. It wasn’t until we used a few items that we read in fine print that stated by using the items in the box you will be charged for them. AvantStay should list the prices and make it clearer that the items aren’t free. 3. AvantStay should get rid of the rock hard pillows and get more of the softer pillows. 4. Other than that we had a lovely time and would stay there again.

Great cabin in Truckee
Beautiful A-frame cabin in a great location! Very clean and nicely furnished. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Communication with the property management was easy and loved the little touches they provided checking in via text to see if we needed anything. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back soon

Great place with a few caveats
Nice space, but needs a few things fixed. King bed frame was broken and entirely unusable; looked like it had been repaired, and poorly. Fireplace timer wasn’t working, but fireplace would work manually. Bloody Mary fixings were left, but corporate office had no knowledge of this - and couldn’t tell us if it was complimentary or not. The place was clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the basics. Would stay again if bed was fixed. We had 4 people in our party, so the broken bed didn’t put anybody on the couch.

Great place for family
Great little property for a weekend getaway we took our girls and my brother in-law for their birthdays and we had a great time there was 7 of us and it was perfect nice deck to relax and drink a cup of joy in the morning and the kids were able to explore around the property, we were also close enough to town to grab a bite to eat and visit the shops with the kids , truckee river park is also great place to take the kids and go for a hike its only about 10-15 mins from cabin , will definitely book again thanks again Mike family

Beautiful place
Owners were very responsive! Such good communication. Very beautiful and cozy house! It’s very close to Donner Lake and also the town. I also forgot something in the cabin and they were kind enough to mail it back to me. I truly truly enjoyed my stay in their lovely home.
