« Everything was set on arrival. We had a nice stay in a very quiet neighbourhood. Maybe a bit to far if you would not have a car. The house could already do with an update. Especially the kitchen, or rather the equipment. The frying pan for example was really in a horrible state. Some people might like the electricity meter, but I found it a bit creepy, as if we were watched... Another item that clearly needs a change is the mattress. It was way to soft and we could feel the bottom of the bed....

« This property is exactly as shown. Really enjoyed our stay. The wind storms are amazing. Contact with the host was really slow. We didn't hear back about the entry code until a day after our reservation started. Cottages.com helped us out. »

« Fantastic stay at John O Groats. We had booked a double ensuite room which looked lovely. When we arrived the manager was waiting for us to ask if we would mind if they upgraded our room as the heating wasnt wasnt working. Obviously we didnt mind. Imagine our surprise when we were shown to our upgraded room. They had given us a three bedroomed, two bathroom lodge which was amazing. Warm, comfortable clean and pur luxury. We settled down by the logburner to watch the sea through the huge windows....

« This was our 3rd VRBO stay on our tour of Scotland in a transit van. We were a family of 5 adults and Lodge 10 was a great base camp with ample parking from which we explored the area. The Lodge was airy and bright despite the stubborn fog. The only reason we give this property 4 stars instead of 5 is there were some things in need of maintenance and sprucing up. But, we would gladly stay here again! »

« Property was perfectly appointed with everything you would need. Bathrooms are spacious and nice big towels! Ocean view and great walks. We did two day trips and spent one day locally which worked out very well. I would definitely recommend this rental! »

« Beautiful location, sunrises & views were breathtaking. Lucky enough to watch a dolphin & calf playing in the bay one day as well as lots of sea birds including the Gannets diving for their catch. Could be absolutely perfect but was slightly let down by cleanliness of the property & no double bed in any of the bedrooms. Despite that would definitely recommend & would stay again if holidaying in the area. »
