„Needed a hotel where I could leave a trailer. Extremely helpful when I phoned and equally helpful in sorting out afternoon tea even though their kitchen was shut. One of the best meals I have had at the restaurant especially when considering the price. Good breakfast choice. Grounds beautiful and resident peacock and peahen. Tranquil. Bed comfortable just needed to be a little careful of low ish beam in room.“

„The bed was extremely comfortable and was the best part of the room. The amenities were nice and the room was as depicted in the photos. The welcome was pleasant but cooled somewhat once they realised we’d booked through Hotels.com. We were told we wouldn’t get breakfast because of it. „Die beiden Vermieter James und Kathrine, strahlen eine große Herzenswärme aus, so dass man sich vom ersten Moment an heimisch fühlt. Sie sind unentwegt darauf bedacht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Das Frühstück war überaus üppig und wurde nach eigenen Wünschen zusammengestellt. Täglich wurden die Zimmer gerichtet und was an Tee, Kaffee oder Gebäck fehlte wieder aufgefüllt. Absolut empfehlenswert!!!“

We were visiting friends nearby so didn't need to do so, and the room was lovely and warm on our return once the scheduled heating had started.
