Près du Forum Romain, à quelques pas du Colisée, ce petit et luxueux appartement pour 4 personnes au milieu des vestiges romains est la synthèse parfaite de l'ancien et du moderne: plafonds confortables (bas) avec poutres anciennes, murs d'origine datant de 1500, meublé avec des meubles et des lampes de designers célèbres et tout le confort que vous voulez.

Bienvenue à mon appartement: il est situé au milieu du plus vieux quartier de Rome, le «Rione Monti», qui a gardé son esprit populaire vivant. Maintenant, comme dans les vieux jours, toute la zone est un labyrinthe animé de commerces, artisans, restaurants, tavernes, bars, bars branchés, galeries d'art, boutiques d'antiquités et plus encore. Et 'ici que Jules César est né en 100 avant JC et le grand incendie de Néron à Rome a eu lieu en l'an 64: Ces rues sont le véritable témoignage de l'histoire de Rome ... préparez-vous à dormir au milieu de tout cela!

L'appartement HomeSweetRome est une mezzanine au premier étage, composé d'une chambre avec lit double, un salon avec un canapé-lit pour 2 personnes et une salle de bains avec douche. A l'intérieur vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour le meilleur séjour à Rome: air conditionné et chauffage, télévision à écran LCD avec lecteur DVD, lave-linge et sèche-linge, fer et planche à repasser, des guides touristiques et des cartes. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec plaques électriques, réfrigérateur, congélateur, four et micro-ondes, bouilloire, presse-agrumes, grille-pain, cafetière et plus pour vous permettre de cuisiner vos propres repas.

À proximité, si vous le souhaitez, vous pouvez louer des vélos et des scooters. Cependant, le métro est à seulement 5 ??minutes à pied, mais plus important encore, HomeSweetRome est vraiment dans le coeur de Rome, à partir d'ici, vous pouvez rapidement rejoindre à pied:

Bel appartement, bien situé et très propre
L'appartement est situé dans la partie Rome antique, très propre, confortable et bien pourvu en équipement pour les personnes qui veulent y vivre entre deux sorties dans la ville. À 5-15 minutes des principales attractions, à 5 minutes à pied du Métro. J'ai pu y déposer nos bagages avant de retourner la voiture à la gare de Termini, située à 10 minutes en métro. Clara a pu répondre à nos moindres questions sans délai, nous l'avons bien apprécié. Nous recommandons fortement cet appartement.

À quelques minutes du Colisée et des forums romains et impériaux, l'appartement de Clara est magnifiquement localisé. L'appartement est fonctionnel, bien décoré et rempli de commodités qui nous furent utiles pendant ces 10 jours. Et que dire de l'accueil chaleureux et attentionné de Clara toujours prête à répondre à nos questions. Beaucoup de restaurants à proximité. Bien que l'immeuble soit ancestral, l'appartement est magnifiquement modernisé, mais plusieurs poutres du plafond sont basses. Si vous mesurez plus de 5 pieds et 10 pouces ( environ 1,78 m ), vous devrez vous pencher pour protéger votre tête. Mais doit-on se priver d'un tel bijou !

Cozy Apt in perfect location
I booked this apt for me & my mom. Our first mother/daughter trip to Italy. We stayed for 2 nights before heading to Florence and would definitely stay here again in the future. Apt was clean & cozy. Just right for the two of us. Location is perfect & we loved walking to dinner in evenings and felt perfectly safe. Owner was very responsive and process was seamless.

Fabulous! This apartment was the perfect spot! Close to everything and the neighborhood was great! Literally could see the Coliseum from the street that the apartment was on. The restaurants were great and it was in walking distance of everything in Rome. Definitely would stay here again!

If I could give 10 stars I would. This apartment is around the corner from the Coliseum and on the backside of the Forum. You can enjoy local (non touristy) restaurants within a few steps of the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed, olive oil, seasoning, dish and clothes detergent, soaps,etc….

Fantastic Roman Forum stay
The host Niccolò met us at the apartment with a bottle of wine. The apartment was super clean. Better than pictured on VRBO. Location could not have been any better. We had everything that we needed would definitely stay there again lots of guide books available. Also a book made by the property owners, which was very helpful.

Location, character and quirks
A simple map doesn’t prepare you for the vibrancy and character of the location and the general area. The Forum is literally down the (close) end of the street and around the corner and the Coliseum is visible within a couple of blocks from the other end. The street itself is narrow and cobbled. It's Rome in a microcosm. The character continues inside with the thick wooden-beamed ceiling and old entrance door. Other reviews have noted that the ceilings are somewhat low but that didn't worry us because neither of us are particularly 'tall'. Another review also noted that the pillows are hard, and they are - gloriously so! Easily the best pillows I slept on in our weeks in Italy. There are many restaurants and bars in the street but sleep was not a problem because the bedroom is at the rear. But don't open the bedroom curtains! The lounge area is spacious and the kitchen is modern and well-equipped, as is the bathroom which has a couple of quirks in the sink tapware - well explained by our host's representative - and shower door, though I don't think the shower would make the list of the top ten hottest showers I've ever had. The other quirk is at the entrance with some variable-height steps to enter and a low ceiling to avoid on exiting. You'll be doing well if you don't trip upwards once. Clara & Massimo were great hosts who communicated very well and were accommodating and flexible. All in all, we had a great time at this apartment and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

This is such a perfect little apartment to stay in. The most amazing neighborhood, close to everything but feels far away. Beautifully decorated, with all the amenities you would want. Wonderful people run the place, and there’s a great little restaurant across the way. Will definitely stay here again.

Pictures are very different from what you see in person. Low ceilings and dirty.
I have stayed at a few vrbos over the years. None of which have been a problem. I am not someone who expects a lot in these places. I do expect certain standards met. A basic standard clean was NOT met. We didn't realize our issue till the 2nd day. A musty/moldy smell was in the bedroom. AC had black mold inside. Living room AC did not appear cleaned. Top of kitchen cabinets were not clean. Shower walls yellow stains. Shower trim was filthy. Both bottom corners had black mold. Bathroom faucet leaked a bit when in use. For reference my brother is 6ft and I'm 5 '11. Not tall enough where we need to duck through doorways on a daily basis. This apartment was a different story. The living room a person 6-6 '2 could stand up in no problem. The doorway into the apartment we had to duck a good 8-12 inches. The whole walk through the kitchen you have to duck about 5 inches. Walking through the bathroom and bedroom doorway you have the duck about 5 inches. The extra pillows provided not clean and multiple stains. Rug in the bedroom was filthy. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. We had an overdue balance of an extra night due on april 30th before the trip. I didn't pay prior to contacting the manager with AC mold issue. I told her, I think that we shouldn't have to pay the extra night bec of the mold. She called me “deceitful” for not paying the balance before the stay. I paid it so this review can be creditable. A free extra night would be the least they can do.

Convenient location to the historical sights
We enjoyed our stay in this conveniently located apartment. It was within easy walking distance of the main attractions in Rome as well as restaurants and cafes. The apartment was clean and had all the key amenities you need for a stay in Rome. Our host was friendly and also provided great recommendations for the area. Since our stay was in the extreme heat of July, the AC struggled to keep the apartment cool. However, I am sure in less extreme heat, the AC would be fine. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to stay when visiting Rome and a great location in Monti for convenient access to everything.

Perfect Location
This location is perfect. Close to the Colosseum, Forum and Palantine Hill. Couldn’t ask for a better location for our first visit to Rome. We loved the apartment. It was well appointed and very cute. They provided dish detergent and laundry detergent, which was an added bonus. We are short so ceiling height was not an issue. We found the location to be quiet for a downtown city spot. There are tons of restaurants nearby and many grocery and pharmacy options. Things to know: there is a $50 per day up charge for using the pull out couch. There is a 6€ per person per day City tax, which must be paid in cash upon arrival. The a/c will only lower the temperature to 80 degrees when outside temperatures are 100 degrees. The host brought fans, which helped a lot and it was still much cooler than outside. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment was unique and beautiful. Pizza next door was amazing, gelato across the street was good. We laughed because our taxi almost hit a table and chairs for the restaurant on the corner on our way in, everything was quaint and close. We absolutely loved the place, from check-in process, to when we had to leave, it was great. Our one thing we wanted was colder AC in the bedroom, but it was a heatwave when we went, so other times of year are likely fine.

The flat was perfect four our family! The girls (18-21) slept comfortably on the pull out sofa and we had a separate bedroom with fantastic storage. There was coffee and the kitchen was fully supplied . Everything was very clean.

If one wants to go to Rome, THIS is the neighborhood in which to stay and the beautifully appointed apartment is where you need to lay your head. Now, the ceilings and doorways are low, but I am 6’1” and managed fine. It is simply a very cool space in an historic neighborhood.
