Les points forts : Propreté
I have chosen this hotel base on Forbes travel guide. It described it has a eco-chic historic hotel and luxury hotel. However it seems that things have changed since this article was published… The staff is friendly but it is not the kind of welcome/presentation that you would expect from a “luxury” hotel. For example, the “valet” welcomes you in t-shirt, sport shorts and adidas sneakers… no name tag and not knowing what is the maximum height of its parking! The staff at the front desk (mostly teenager) also dress 'causual and lean on desk and wall. The overall impression of our arrival is a clear lack of etiquette for a “luxury” hotel. Also, the lobby looks more like a grocery store than a hotel. The room itself was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom is however tiny, you cannot be 2 persons in it and even alone, you need to squeeze yourself to reach the sink. The restaurant is closed and there is no bar … so there is absolutely no atmosphere or ambiance there. The neighborhood is ok for what Portland seems to have become … huge number of homeless people and drug addict injecting themselves in front of everybody!
