The living quarters were nice and clean, as advertised in the listing. Fairly close to towns but far enough away to avoid the tourists. Tap water has a heavy sulfur odor, but some bottles of water were provided for drinking. Garage door was out of order, so we didn't get to open it up to enjoy the screened room concept we were looking forward to. But the biggest disappointment was how loud this property is. It's advertised as a relaxing retreat in the woods. They forgot to mention that there is a train crossing about 100 yards away. With a rural crossing, you not only get the train noise and light shining into the yard, but you get 3 horn blasts plus the loud clanking of the crossing arms. A relaxing night by the fire was interrupted by this several times an hour. And yes, you can definitely hear it from inside even with the windows closed. If you book this property knowing to expect this, it's probably a 5 star. However, if your goal is peaceful evenings and a quiet night's sleep, you, too, will be disappointed.
