« Met a friend here after I had been camping/cycling the C&O from DC. Shower was great as were the facilities. Not too many places for a decent meal in town but we made do with the gas station pizza! »

« For a tiny rural area the location was great. Not walkable to the cuter old downtown but close, ans restaurant on the property was good and a well priced. Grocery a minute drive.. a few other dining options within minutes. Service was very friendly and helpful. Room was not new but in good shape and clean. Bed comfortable and lots of pillow choices. Breakfast was better than average (US) hotel inclusive, with eggs, sausages, biscuits and waffles.. only negatives for me was chatty guests...

« I'm not sure if Washington stayed here but he definitely was nearby. 18th century building certainly has the post colonial vibe. Tall ceilings, old staircase, lots of woodwork. The inn seems to be in varying degrees of remodel. I was intrigued by the "spa" part of "inn and spa" so I booked a room then was informed that the spa in the basement had flooded so no spa treatments. I love old historic hotels and inns but this one could use a bit more updating. I had room #1, the first room on the left...
