Does not stand behind his commitment
We needed to change the arrival date and sent a request through the VRBO app to request the change. We heard nothing from the host nor VRBO. A week before check in, I sent a message to the host confirming that the change was okay. The host replied in the affirmative. Days before check in, I messaged again with the dates and the check in code. The host confirmed the check in date and gave the code to me. When we arrived at 11 pm, we discovered that the property was occupied and we needed to find other accommodations. The next day, I contacted the host and he denied that he had confirmed the date twice with me. He blamed the VRBO app and would not refund the payment for the stay. I contacted VRBO and they too would not refund the payment, stating that the host was responsible for the scheduling error and his misuse of the app. I gave him two months to reconsider the refund before I provided poor feedback. You can see that feedback on this host suggest that he is a poor communicator. Beware.
