Great cabin for getaway
The cabin was great for my needs for a planning getaway from the office. The cabin is located at the back of a large piece of property and was quite secluded mid-week - I saw no other people in the other cabins on the property. Close enough to grab a coffee at the gas station in South Bloomingfield or to hop over to Logan to play golf. The simplicity of the cabin enhanced my experience. I would love to stay here again.

Short getaway for my husband and I
The cabin was super small and compact, however worked out perfect for us. We both loved just sitting on the porch enjoying the sounds of nature, and away from the city!! Nice wooded area surrounding us. The only complaint we have honestly there are wasps all over the porch boring into the wood, and nats everywhere due to the water under the porch from the drain pipe or just retaing water. However it did rain so im sure that played a factor. But property manager and owner are extremely pleasant to deal with!!! Over all we would of loved to stay longer and look forward to renting one of these cabins that are avallable in the future. Thank you for hospitality!!

Cute Cozy Getaway
Pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness (basically spotless) and just how cute the cabin was. Has all of the essentials (A/C worked especially well which was appreciated as we stayed during a heat wave). More importantly it’s extremely well situated. Felt secluded and peaceful but just a short 15/20 min drive to the major attractions. Also, the host should mention that it’s just a 2 minute drive from a local vineyard & winery that has tastings and beautiful grounds! We seriously enjoyed our stay here, highly recommended.

Peaceful & Quiet
We had an amazing stay. The location is perfectly secluded and peaceful. The cabin is very livable but needs some TLC. The only true complaint - the mattress is VERY uncomfortable. If they don't upgrade the quality, we would recommend taking a topper or air mattress. The frame is made from standard lumber and is loose and shaky (and we are not large people). Overall, it's a great place for the price. We would recommend taking the mattress topper, good pillows and a few over the door hooks if you want to hang anything up.

Great Little Cabin
Cabin was great value for the price. Location was perfect close to everything. The cabin was spotless and had the essentials. Communication was great with owner. Lots of privacy for a quiet getaway. Owner did an exceptional job making efficient use of the given space. If I had to make any suggestion it would be to replace mattress with better quality for comfort and maybe add a two post handrail on front step, but I have bad knees younger folk likely wouldn’t notice. Would definitely come back and definitely recommend.

Wonderful family stay
We used the cabin as a base camp and were able to take day trips to surrounding attractions including the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, AHa children’s museum & Columbus Zoo. The perfect secluded spot for our 2 & 4 year olds to explore nature, ride bikes and play in the dirt. We had a great time and the kids loved the oversized tub at bath time.

Cozy cabin
Cozy and secluded. We enjoyed the privacy and the campfire at night. Went to lake Logan fishing and Hiking at Old mans cave during the days. Also hit some antique shops and found a few treasures! Only complaint is the bed is uncomfortable but everything else was great!! Thank you!!

Rustic is fine, but needs some TLC
I appreciate the rustic nature of the property, and fully expected to see bugs, critters, etc. I grew up spending time in rustic cabins (and still do), but as a rental that others pay to use, this place could really use some TLC. Positives: 1) Location was perfect - far enough off the road to be quiet and secluded, 2) Hocking Hills region was stunning, 3) The owner provided details on how to find the cabin once you reached the property (though the turn-by-turn directions from some random spot in MI were awkward), 4) Internet and AC worked great. Negatives: 1) The mattress is terrible. You can feel each spring, and provided for the most uncomfortable sleep. Even though pillows are provided, there is nothing to them and I recommend you also bring your own in addition to the required linens. 2) The water had an awful rotten egg smell, so bad that I literally gagged when I used the tub. We ended up not bathing the entire weekend because of it. We also resorted to bottle water for brushing our teeth and freshening up. 3) One of the window blinds was about 7-8" too narrow. Although secluded, it left us feeling exposed since it was the largest window. We hung extra clothes on the blind mount to help conceal the gaps. 4) The "large fire ring" was just a bunch of busted up cinder blocks... it worked. Verdict: Some minor attention paid to this property would make it very welcoming and would prevent the same complaints from recurring. Exterior pics are not representative.
