We have been very pleased with many VRBO properties over the years, but we were very disappointed by our experience with this home in Los Angeles. We hope the owners will take our comments constructively. There were not enough towels, and despite our request for additional towels to the property manager, we received no response. The listing described five bedrooms and four bathrooms but did not mention that one bedroom and bathroom were located outside, attached to the garage. This ADU was cold, dark, damp, smelled of mildew, and had no visible thermostat, making it uninhabitable for our family members. The listing also failed to clarify that the two upstairs bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, which would have been helpful to know in advance.Additionally, the home lacked basic provisions like coffee, tea, sugar, or condiments. There were no extra blankets, pillows, or instructions for adjusting the thermostat. Lightbulbs in one bathroom were burned out, and the property manager did not respond to our request for replacements. There was no welcome letter or loose leaf notebook with instructions about how to use the TV remotes and other pertinent information. On a positive note, the location was excellent, and the property has great potential. With clearer descriptions, better communication, and more attention to detail, this home could be a wonderful rental. We hope these issues are addressed for future guests.
