« Nice quiet hotel in Barnsley. Everyone is friendly, we were warmly welcomed at the reception. The room was clean and well furnished. I would recommend staying there a few nights if you're travelling northward or southward Britain. »
« Paul and Sophie were the consumate hosts. Attentive without being over bearing. The property is in first class order with everything you could need for a perfect quiet stay. The breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked to order every day. As we have family in the area, we have always struggled to find good accommodation but Lynedene ticked all the boxes!! We will most definitely be back. This will be our number one go to in the area. »
« The room pretty much ticked all the boxes for me. everything in very good condition, well maintained, very clean room and bathroom. Very reasonably priced. Bath/shower, small touches like biscuit with the tea/coffee kit, and real soap, no nasty squirty dispensers.
It is over a pub, so some conversations audible until 11pm, but not to a problem level, and no restaurant, but plenty of food options within easy walking distance. Pub looked fine as well. »
« The restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly. The food was good value for money. We went to Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show and it is a very easy walk. There is also a large garden centre very near. There was plently of parking at the property and the bedroom was huge. Very good place to stay. »
« Iâve stayed here many times. Rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after. The TV is very small though, so if you want to watch something, it could be a bit of a challenge.
The hotel is in a safe countryside area. I like that thereâs nothing else around, but others might prefer more nearby.
Hot fresh breakfast is good, but the coffee isnât great. Iâd like to see more fruit and yoghurt options as I donât eat a full breakfast.
Iâll happily stay again.

« Loved Staying here before the theme park Season really kicked off. My only issues are that checking out its best to do after 7.00. due to needing to phone to unlock the main doors if you require to leave before 7.00
Checking Inn at a late time can be problematic due to the main Gate connects to someones Mobile and Signal in the area is extremely poor »
« Nice stay. Lovely and Clean. Beautiful surroundings. Driveway is very steep and the underfloor heating downstairs would never turn off leaving it very warm.
Great stay though and would happily return. »
