The host was “out of town”, therefore not able to let us into the property. We didn’t find out until 30 minutes before our planned check in when we called VRBO to inquire about check in procedure, because we hadn’t received any info from the host. So we were left with no place to stay,even though the stay was paid for upfront, and according to the VRBO customer service rep their policy is that because we had only booked one night they were not obligated to help us find alternate accommodation or otherwise compensate us (if we had have booked 2 or more nights apparently they would help….) Brutal!!
