The apartment itself was pleasant, cleaned, and seemed to be very recently refurbished. We enjoyed the view to the sound. This being said, we found a few major issues upon arrival. The required parking passes were nowhere to be found, and there were no linens for the pullout couch bed (my son slept between two spare blankets on a naked hideaway mattress the first night). But the biggest issue we had was that the promised half bathroom was literally no more than a sink in a closet of the second bedroom. No toilet, no locking door, no exaggeration. As a family of four adults, we booked this listing specifically because of the number of bathrooms, foolishly assuming that 1.5 baths meant two toilets (as is industry standard). After notifying management, they sent over linens and told us to write our own parking passes, but the woman I spoke to ultimately said the listing "wasn't her department," so renter beware.
The water view is definitely good, peaceful, and the light in the unit is very airy and pleasant. However, regarding the neighborhood: there were ongoing evictions in this aging apartment complex. People sorting through dumpsters right outside our parking area for their belongings. The residential area right around the property was less than desirable. We did not feel safe walking with our elderly grandmother through the neighborhood to and from her facility.
