Cold & Peaceful
My wife and I arrived the day after Thanksgiving in the afternoon and it was cold with some light rain & snow mixed in. The first thing that hit us was how cold the house was so I immediately started to turn up the thermostats. There were electric base board heaters thru the house and the upstairs also had a AC/Heat mounted unit between the living room and dining area and I turned the thermostat on that to 80. The downstairs level is where the bedrooms are located and each room also has a wall mounted AC/Heat unit and I turned on the thermostat also to 80.There was a cast Iron wood burning stove in the corner of the living room which is located on the 2nd level so I thought I would light a fire to add some additional heat and warmth. However there were only 2 pieces of logs and no small kindling pieces of woods or a fire starter log. There was no wood on the deck outside. It was already dark and the rain/snow mix had increased so I gave up on that idea. We eat a light dinner, watched some TV before heading to bed, located on the 1st floor. The tempature
