« We had an amazing time gazing at the trees, listening to the nearby creek, and relaxing in the hot tub. We needed a relaxing getaway and couldn’t have picked a better property for that purpose. Check out and in were straight-forward and easy. Cute, cozy interior with a great wood-burning stove. We had a lovely time and will be happy to come back when we can. »

« We had a very relaxing time. Loved the convenience of the brewery across the street and having the jacuzzi every night already hot and ready for us. Bed was extremely cozy and having all the tv media outlets available for evening movies was a bonus too. »

« We had a wonderful Christmas week here. Very convenient location Comfortable for 6 adults. Cooked most of our meals here and had plenty of supplies. It rained while we were here so we did not get to enjoy the decks and outdoor area but it would be so fun when the weather cooperated. Redwoods are amazing! »

« Family of 4 visiting with another couple - perfect setup with the ADU. Beautiful location where we felt secluded in the redwoods but not isolated. Quiet. Both houses were clean. Great suggestion to save directions because our GPS sent us to the wrong place! »

« The cottage is the perfect spot for some quality solo time - I used it for a writing retreat and it was ideal. I spent a week by the fire writing, did a puzzle, did some painting, made a lot of tea, and went on lots of walks (Islands in the Sea is a great hike!). The nights were cool but I was toasty - fantastic bed and heater when the fireplace was off. It would be nice to have a couple bits of instruction written down on how to turn the fireplace on (host provided via message) and how to work...

« It’s a perfect escape for a couple, a beautiful setting and very intimate. A couple of things that are good to know: the bathroom doors are louvered, so if you are not already on comfortable bathroom habit status with your person, this might change that! As other reviews have noted, the bed is fairly hard. Two nights would be my maximum. And if you are at all pillow picky and are wondering if you should bring your own, you should. It was a beautiful peaceful place and we had a wonderful time....

« I chose this property because I liked the rustic look of the place and it fit our needs. It met my expectations. The beds were decently comfortable (foam not spring mattresses), the furnishings are what's to be expected of a property that has been a dedicated rental forever. I liked the local art up on the walls. Every room has a skylight, and that helped us wake up bright and early. The driveway is a little steep, our tires were spinning getting in and out. « We would've given 5 stars and understanding that we're still in winter, but the garden looked way better in the pictures. That aside we had a wonderful time and loved the little town, a lot! »
