Lovely good sized apartment great for a family of 2 adults & 3-4 kids, only a few minor flaws that could be improved. Loved the outlook over the marina, good location as not far from amenities. Bedrooms were spacious & so good having the 2nd living area! Balcony was large & well equipped with nice lounge, a BBQ, & fold out clothes line.
Now to the things that require improvements…
Check in was not great as real estate is too far from the unit & wastes a lot of time traveling there to collect keys, then again to return them. It could really be improved with a self check-in or a drop box at the property for check out at least.
The pillows are horrible for adults, we had to go buy some from Kmart in order to get good sleep. You also hear thumping footsteps from above & below from 5am onwards.
Also, the exhaust fan in the en-suite was not working & behind the bedroom doors was a build up pile of dust. There was absolutely no household staples such as tea, coffee, sugar. There was only some tomato sauce & oil. No replacement bin bags either which was hard for a week long stay.
The internet was also not great with drop outs & had to be switched off & on a few times.
The complex doesn’t have a back gate or easy access to the marina or neighboring cafes, or any general store/milk bar close. You need to walk out the front & all the way around to access the cafes & marina and drive for simple things like milk, bread, ice creams etc. When the 7Eleven is built opposite it will be much better.
Also, the pool area has absolutely no shade & this was very bad with the hot Queensland sun. So this is something to prepare for & hopefully they fix this asap as there was a gazebo but with no roof lol. When swimming in the pool, all the loud trucks & building works right next to it is very off putting!
Linen package doesn’t include beach towels either, which with an apartment that has a pool AND is on the water, this is really something that should be provided!
We enjoyed our stay but with so many improvements needed, we may check these have been addressed before re-booking as the high amount we paid didn’t show good value at all.
