« This cottage fits the image generated by its name. Comfortable, clean and nestled into the old walls of the town adjacent to the old bar entrance to the town Modern appliances are efficient and plentiful. Loved our stay!!!! »

« Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh. »

« My friend and I found the cottage very comfortable and well equipped. Quiet location but an easy walk to the centre of Alnwick, the castle and gardens. Lovely fresh bread at the Lidl, a minute's walk away! Only about 10-15 mins from the beautiful Northumbian coastal path and beaches. Would certainly stay here again. »

« We enjoyed our stay in a lovely cottage, surrounded by beautiful scenery in a lovely village and right next door to a friendly hotel serving delicious meals. Laura and the girls were excellent hosts.Its a perfect base for trips out and walks. »

« Excellent cottage in great location, very close to town but quietly tucked away. Everything you need for a stay, all fixtures and fittings of good quality. Only minor niggle is limited windows that open and shower was very slow to drain otherwise highly recommended. »

« Lovely small house which was perfect for us , en suites were great , beds really comfortable , kitchen was fully equipped , comfy sofas and only 10 minutes walk to the beach . Heating was set so the house was lovely and warm on arrival , great as it was icy outside . One small twist was the size of the tv , not small but not what most people are used to but not the end of the world . »

« The property was excellent and near the harbour so in easy reach of everything. With really nice pubs, restaurants and takeaways we were spoilt for choice for food. Bonus was the kippers at the other end of the road. Will definitely look to stay at the property again. Loved the property, situation and the surrounding area. »

« We enjoyed being beside the sea. What the weather wasn't great we walked the coastal path to Alnmouth and cycled to Craster. The cottage was warm and perfect for relaxing after a long day outside. We cooked meals together for seven of us and enjoyed board games in the evenings. »

« Situated in a good location, in a quite village, with easy access to all that Northumberland has to offer. The property was clean and had all the facilities that you need, nicely furnished, comfy beds, great powerful shower. Plenty of games, videos, and TV (2).
