« Very clean cabin with amenities--fridge and cooking supplies. Screened in porch providing excellent view. For the enterprising you can walk into town easy enough that feels safe during the daytime. San Ignacio is a brisk 25 minute walk downhill. Hosts very friendly, helpful, and communicative. »

« This is not for everyone... and that is a good thing! But for those of you that are not looking fior luxury and don't mind a little rustic charm... this might be for you. Basic, locally built, cabins on a cloudy (but teeming with wildlife) river. Comfortable bed, good appliances, reasonably equipped kitchen. The worst we could say... no wine glasses, in fact no glassware at all, just plastic tumblers and coffee mugs. However, sundowners still taste pretty good from a coffee mug when that sunset...

« This property was just what we were looking for. Although you can’t swim in the river, listening to the birds, kayaking and sitting in the screened in porch to enjoy the river were great for us. We did rent a car for three of our seven days to go hiking in Mayflower Bocawina NP and drove to Placencia one day. The bikes were great to go to Hopkins and we also walked once. Anthony was great at answering our questions and we bought some groceries and cooked some meals as well as enjoyed local...

« Easy space and surrounding to spend time in with a variety of places to relax on property. Greatly appreciated the kitchen and well stocked dishes so we could relax in the mornings without having to go out. Loved to ease of access to the water and opportunity to paddle around. Was a quiet setting with easy access to both Sittie and Hopkins. »

« Toll eigerichtete Ferienhütte mit allem drum und dran. Super ruhig mit netten Nachbarn. Man kann eine Tour mit dem hauseigenen Kayak machen oder einfach nur entspannen. Gut eingerichtete Küche und sehr geräumig. Bequeme Betten. Gerne wieder! Allerdings braucht man ein schlaglochfestes Fahrzeug um hinzukommen. »

« Nous pensions louer une maison avec 2 chambres et en fait, la location ne valait que pour une petite chambre dans la maison. Nous avons pu nous arranger avec le propriétaire et sa représentante et obtenir la maison d’à côté, ce qui a rendu notre séjour très agréable. »

« Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge...
