I was looking for something dog friendly and not very expensive near Bayfield. I'm glad I read other reviews to understand how to be prepared. It was a fun opportunity to pull out all my outdoor gear. There is no wifi and very limited cell service. There is a lamp and a small fridge in the cabin, and a fire pit with a good log supply outside. No running water, but a water jug was provided. I cooked meals over the fire. Outhouse was sufficient. Although I was 'off-grid', there was a lot of traffic on the road, including construction vehicles that drove past the cabin into the evening. So, it was kind of loud/noisy. With all that being said, I really did settle into the space and really enjoyed it. I was there for two nights. Being between Cornucopia and Bayfield was nice. The general store in Cornucopia is really cool. Lots of food, basics and gifty special things. I also made my way to Madeline Island. I got everything I wanted at a good price. Apparently sometime on day 2, the power was cut by the construction in the area. Since I didn't figure it out until it started getting dark, I did not reach out to the host. I just made good use of lanterns and candles. When the host found out that I had been without power, she did reach out to me. I really appreciate that!
