« Tres bel hotel moderne et recent. Tres propres et chambre tres confortable et bien insonorisée. Salle a diner au 7e etage tres grande avec superbe vue sur campagne environnante. Cependant, tres loin de toute activite commerciale et touristique. »

« Bathrooms badly need upgrading. Caulk between some of the tiles need cleaning. Edge of bathroom door has chipped paint. Old style heaters do not work. Staff were excellent and brought up a space heater for the room. Sorry - cannot understand the questions that are only in Francais »

« Ensemble décevant au regard du prix très élevé. Certes, l’hôtel a une jolie histoire et a connu un bel âge d’or, mais il est vieillissant. La vue de la chambre comme du restaurant étaient splendides, et le petit déjeuner offrait un choix très varié. En revanche, la chambre était très vieillotte, la porte fermait mal, la fenêtre calfeutrée au scotch… Et la propreté très moyenne: poil dans la douche, dessous du lit pas nettoyé, moquette pas aspirée, couverts pas nickels, projections de peinture...

« Such a great hotel and perfect setting. Breakfast was great, bar was great, & dinner was great. We loved our room with the sea view & balcony. Bathroom was very well put together. Can’t wait to return, was exactly what we needed to get away for a kid free weekend. Highly recommend. »

« Rating based entirely on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the fantastic spa facilities. There was work going on while we were there which was a minor inconvenience but the room we stayed in was the real let down. Dated and uncared for. The bathroom was poorly finished and the shower was not the cleanest. The flooring was lifting and squishy in places and the room itself smelt of damp. « Stunning location, clean and modern. Love The Salcombe Gin touch at 5pm! Spa was lovely and treatment was one of the best. Bar & Restaurant is really nice with lovely views. My only ‘minus’ was really the quality of the food was not the best. I had the risotto which was tasteless. »

« What a wonderful find! The hotel had a great atmosphere with lovely decor, was very clean, lovely staff (Kate was very helpful and very accommodating with our friend who was on crutches) and very nice rooms. Breakfast was excellent, kept us going all day. Hotel is close to all the restaurants, the Hoe and surrounding areas. We are fairly local but will be back when visiting Plymouth again. »
