« Ensemble décevant au regard du prix très élevé. Certes, l’hôtel a une jolie histoire et a connu un bel âge d’or, mais il est vieillissant. La vue de la chambre comme du restaurant étaient splendides, et le petit déjeuner offrait un choix très varié. En revanche, la chambre était très vieillotte, la porte fermait mal, la fenêtre calfeutrée au scotch… Et la propreté très moyenne: poil dans la douche, dessous du lit pas nettoyé, moquette pas aspirée, couverts pas nickels, projections de peinture...

« We had a lovely stay and were upgraded to a glimpse of the estuary room. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent as was the service. The only small grumble we had was that we found our room too warm although there didn’t seem to be any heating on. »

« Fabulous adults only property with stunning spa facilities. Excellent food, reasonable bar prices and friendly staff. We did ask to move rooms and (loud dripping from drainpipes just outside the room which was very annoying given the pouring rain) this was accommodated immediately. Nice to park in the hotel grounds, but £15 per day is a little excessive, although appreciate it is secure and monitored. Heated towel rail in the bathroom is way too small to accommodate bath towels and spa towel,...

« Booked a single night. All the staff at the beach Club were very willing and friendly. The condition of our room was excellent. The bed exceptionally comfortable. Excellent shower. We used the spa facilities, which were not very busy except for the family swim period between 4 and 6pm (but it was during school, holidays). We would recommend the included continental breakfast. There was lots of choice and quality of the food was excellent. »

« The hotel is a bit dated and we found our room a bit cramped, especially the w.c./ shower room which was not big enough to shower and dry yourself in, meaning you had to shower and then go into the bedroom to dry yourself. There was quite a lot of noise from other people walking about their rooms and flushing the toilet; not really a problem during the day but it is at 6.30 in the morning when you are still trying to sleep. I checked all the rest rooms to see if you had a machine to buy sanitary products, there were none available. I plucked up the courage to ask the lady on reception, she explained that they had sanitary products in the establishment, but they were for staff only, I was pretty desperate by this point and being a women herself I thought she would have understood how desperate I was. « Great hotel. Top tip - follow the hotel’s instructions on driving to the hotel. We followed our satnav / GPS and ended up in “the lanes” which are scary narrow roads. The walks from the hotel are stunning along the coastline. Dinner a bit pricey. »
