„I loved the authentic vintage look of the room. The curtains were elegant. My headboard had wooden cherubs carved in it! The bathroom was enormous! We had breakfast the next morning and I was greeted by my first name. 100% homestyle breakfast. We had the breakfast platter with sausage, hash browns, toast and eggs. We also had the biscuits and gravy. “

„The mansion is beautiful, if somewhat bedraggled. It needs some maintenance. Our Tv didn't work, the coffee maker was very tempermental, and the heater didn't work the night before that was freezing. My husband had to unplug it overnight to get it to reset in the morning. “

„Quaint southern bed and breakfast with lovely staff, good food, comfy beds and good vibes. They go out of their way to accommodate. This is an old 1900s boarding house made B&B. Lots of charm. You feel the history of the area and the house. We came out for a wedding at a local ranch and were more than pleased with our stay“

„It was a super cozy experience. We loved the room, the bed was very comfortable. I used the community kitchen to make some snacks for a party we were attending, it was great. We even had a resident kitty that would allow us to get some pets and purrs in. Looking forward to staying there again.“

„I received very good service from the staff who were calling me and checking on my arrival time for a nice greeting. The bed was very very comfortable and the pillows were quite nice. The decor was not for me, but beauty is a personal choice.“

„The livestock tour was the highlight for us - spotted a brand new kid beside it's mama in the tribe of goats before our guide did. The hosts were great and farm fresh eggs were available with breakfast.“

„Great getaway and beautiful river venue - good consideration for large gatherings close to DFW; Friendly and knowledgeable staff; however, we stayed on a Tuesday night and staff left at 5 so no access to recreation cabin, ice, lodge until next morning. Close enough to Mineral Wells to get dinner and drinks at the few places that were open on a Tuesday evening. Fishing dock was pleasant and strolling the grounds a unique experience. Bed just okay. Room and BR extremely clean and quiet. No need ...

„House was great! Road to get to the house is a little rough. We love PK lake. Only negative was trying to get the code to the house. Didn’t receive it until we drove around so we could find cell phone service and paid extra for my retired service dog. I have never had anyone make that a process before giving me a code. “

„The home was clean, nicely stocked and looked exactly like the picture. Great for visiting the campus. If my son decides to go here. This will be where our family stays when we visit.“

"Cleanliness was not up to expectations. The bathroom was ok but after housekeeping came in the second day, the carpet still had the same dirt on and the window sill sported a thick layer of dust. This hotel is pet-friendly, floor 2 absolutely reeked of ‚wet dog‘. We were on the 4th floor, I just noticed the smell on the 2nd when I used the guest laundry. Staff was very friendly and helpful, also when the guest washer broke down. Breakfast was very good, lots of warm and cold items to choose from. Our room faced the parking lot. Every night, thousands of birds gathered in the trees and made a lot of noise most of the night. This is clearly not the hotel‘s fault, but be aware, ask for a room facing the pool or bring earplugs."
