„After a long drive from Strahan it was such a delight to get to our room at the Masden. Had a front room with a view of the water. The room was modern, clean and comfortable with some added extras like a spa bath and microwave. Easy access, lots of street parking and little cafes to eat at close by. “

„The surroundings are beautiful and you really feel secluded and part of the natural bush - it really deserves its name "Bush Retreat". However, if I hadn't had a new rental car with good tyres I would've felt even more nervous at having to drive up the very, very steep hill to reach the Retreat - this should be pointed out in their reservations or on their webpage because city dwellers and visitors from areas where dirt roads are uncommon are taken unaware. „Easy to find , and arrival instructions clear and easy to follow. Driveway rather steep but surface good and easily managed by small hire car. Breakfast provisions excellent. very modern interior, and well finished. High western outlook, and vivid sunsets. Can be rather warm or rather cool depending on wind direction. Room has heating but no cooling. Easy walk to town but the return uphill walk would be strenuous. Plenty of parking on site.Hostess easy to contact and quite charming to meet.“

„We stayed at the property over Christmas, upon arrival we were delighted to find out that the place had been nicely decorated for Christmas. The property is as nice as it looks on the picture. Sauna was the main hit for us but we also used jacuzzi and had some marshmallows at the bonfire.By far it was the nicest place we stayed in, while in Tasmania.“
