Commitment Not Honored
We chose this home because of the size, pool, location, and theater room. Our family arrived the week after Hurricane Milton, so we called a few days before to ensure everything was in order. We were told someone had checked on the property, and everything was as it should be. We paid extra for early check-in but waited outside with our 2-year-old for 20-30 minutes since the code did not work. Once in, we found that the pool was not cleaned as they had said. There were shingles and a lot of debris in it. They sent someone over to clean it, but it was so dirty that they had to shock the pool, which meant we could not use it for 24 hours. We also found that the trash cans in the kitchen were full from the previous guests. WiFi was not working, which could have resulted from the storm, but that meant the theater room was unavailable. They told us they would get us a mobile router but never followed through, so we only had wi-fi for one night of our stay. As a result of these issues, the owner/manager agreed over a phone conversation to reimburse us $200 for the inconvenience. However, over a week since we left, we still have not received the refund they agreed to. I have reached out via email, text, and phone, but I am now being "ghosted." I have never given a review under 5 stars, and I did not want to do it for this property, but they left me little choice. I would caution anyone considering this home. If you have any issues, you may find that follow-through is lacking.
