I booked this online, I arrived about 7pm , only to see the place locked up. I called the contact and I was Informed to my surprise that they were not expecting me. I inform the gentleman on phone that I booked through Expedia and I have made full payments for 3 nights. They gentleman informed me they are not aware of my booking and that they have fully booked the place for some people but since they are coming in the following day, I can sleep for the night but I had to check out in the morning and go look for another place . This was terrible hearing. Since no one was at the property, I had to wait about 30 minutes for him to come open the property for me to sleep for the night. He inform me I have to pay cash for the night I'm spending at the property and they I will need to contact Expedia to get a full refund. He informed me his brother will try to make contact with Expedia about the situation.
He told me they have actually asked Expedia to remove them from the platform but it hasn't been done yet.
I woke up about 7am and walked around to look for a place to lodge for the following 2 nights that I need. I got a place and then I checked out about
9am after paying him cash for the night.
For me if it is true that they have asked Expedia to delist their property from their platform, then Expedia need to immediately do so. I am a Ghanaian but wasn't happy with this situation, I wonder how someone who flies in from abroad will feel in this situation.
