Meer, Sand und Gelassenheit im Spooky Channel

Die Spooky Channel Villa ist nach einem der berühmten Tauch- und Schnorchelplätze auf Roatan benannt, der sich direkt an unserem privaten Steg befindet. Das Tauchen und Fischen der Boote holt Sie direkt am Ende des Docks ab. Sowohl das Haus als auch die Anlegestelle verfügen über Frischwasserduschen im Freien.

Die Villa liegt direkt am Strand an der Nordküste der Insel, wo Sie eine schöne Brise und atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge genießen können. Die Hängematten und bequemen Stühle auf der Terrasse sind der perfekte Ort zum Essen, Entspannen und für Siestas! Ein Holzkohlengrill und ein Tauchbecken mit kaltem Wasser runden die Terrasse ab.

Die Villa verfügt über zwei geräumige Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Betten und separaten Bädern. Eine Luftmatratze in voller Größe ist ebenfalls erhältlich. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen Flachbild-TV mit DVD-Player. Internet und WiFi sind vorhanden. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Gasherd, Mikrowelle, Mixer, Toaster und Kaffeemaschine und verfügt über einen kompletten Satz Geschirr, Tassen, Besteck usw.

Bei einem Aufenthalt von mindestens 10 Tagen steht Ihnen eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner zur Verfügung. Bei einem kürzeren Aufenthalt wird möglicherweise eine geringe Gebühr fällig.

Während ein Auto nicht notwendig ist - Taxis und Busse sind am Ende der Fahrt leicht zu erreichen - gibt es eine Auffahrt direkt hinter der Villa. Geschäfte, Restaurants und Bars sind ca. 10 Minuten entfernt. Es gibt auch ein paar neue Orte, die zu Fuß über den Strand erreichbar sind.

This is a nice property in a quiet area right on the water but needs some TLC. When we areives, there was a dirty mop on the porch as well as old nails and chipping paint.

Absolute Paradise
Everything about this property, the owner, and manager was perfect. Very short drive to anywhere. We had everything we needed or wanted right at the house. Snorkel equipment and chairs provided. This is a must stay at place. We can't wait to come back.

Older, but unique and nice house, accurate description. Great location for ocean access and snorkeling. Two suite bedrooms worked well for two couples. Great air conditioning for bedrooms, but a little warm and humid inside otherwise. Host and property manger are great to work with. We were glad for a rental car since we frequently ate out. Unfortunately, one of the ladies in our group was attacked by a loose guard dog while walking right next to the ocean near the house. It was traumatic, with multiple deep bite wounds. It was explained to us that this is very rare, however we learned that some locals cary sticks, mace, or even knives while walking, and seldom go out at night. Guard dogs, pibulls, etc are pretty much a requirement for local residents, to deal with crime. This house does have excellent security, and we felt safe inside at night and outside during the day.We did enjoy walking along the beach together, but with sticks. Very good snorkeling .. lots of reef fish, eels, turtles, small squid, rays, barracuda, big tarpon .. spooky chanel was fun.

Perfect for a family with kids
This place is a hidden gem! We stayed here with our two young boys and they loved the beach and dipping pool! The house was perfect for a family with kids. We felt very safe the entire time and enjoyed meeting the neighbors. We saw a starfish and a few fish under the pier. My only criticism would be that the pier is in need of repairs but that is supposed to be done soon. All in all, it was the perfect stay for us to relax and enjoy time together as a family in an unbelievably beautiful setting.

Excellent stay. Internet was fast. Cable tv for at night was excellent. Beach was beautiful. Snorkeling off the beach was close only negative is you had to swim across a very busy channel. House itself was well equipped ,clean and comfortable. A/C in bedrooms was nice .

Beautiful Setting
This property was perfect for low key, out-of-the- touristy madness relaxation. We 4 sisters in our 70's enjoyed being right on the beach to watch the waves, birds, & sunsets. A couple of us snorkeled using the equipment supplied. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to prepare some meals. It was easy to get a taxi from the nearby main road to go to the West End. We also easily beach walked to a couple of restaurants.. We never needed to use the bedroom air conditioning as the open windows & ceiling fans kept us comfortable. The biggest improvement we'd suggest is a thorough cleaning and/or painting of the louvered kitchen cupboard doors which we recognize must be a challenge to keep clean when multiple guests and sea air are continuously impacting them. We highly recommend this VRBO.

We had a lovely stay.
The property is as described. Vanessa was quick to answer questions. Chris was also quick to answer questions. We had no problem checking in. The porch stayed shaded all day. There is a fan in the bed room, if you need it for the porch. The bed was very comfortable. The house has character. I thought the kitchen was charming. The whole house has island charm. The Reef is within a short distance from the house. The house is in a very quiet area. I'm glad I chose the house.

Pure Heaven
We were blessed to be staying at Sunnyside in June. The house is perfect. So peaceful but about a 10 min. ride to town. The house had everything we needed including snorkel gear (but we brought our own). Breakfast on the covered veranda was a perfect way to begin our day. The two bedrooms were air conditioned and if you left your bedroom doors open, it cooled off the rest of the house nicely. Snorkeling was awesome. Just a short swim off the dock and the reef was right there. Vanessa was amazing. She set up some trips and a spa day for us. We had a wonderful relaxing week and will definitely e back soon.

Great private location in Roatan
Sunnyside is a great location. This was our 3rd trip to Roatan and we stayed in a smaller house nearby the last time so we knew the area. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and being right on the ocean was spectacular. I loved sitting in the hammock on the deck with my beverage of choice nearby and listening to the water.

Excellent location, excellent manager Vanessa. Decent privacy. General maintenance and repairs needed. One shower and cold dip was inoperative. Drapes needed on upper windows to block out the security light that we could not turn off(we stuffed towels in the windows). Many different locks and keys made entry/exit complicated, stressful, difficult. A simple keypad lock would be a huge improvement. AC is only in bedrooms. Plenty of mosquitos and ants inside the house. Wish there were a couple glasses for drinking (there were only old plastic cups) and wish there was a medium sized saucepan. We almost bought some at Eldon's, but never got around to it.

Celebrating our 50th on Spooky Channel
The house was very accurately represented in the listing. All features were very good. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The deck was enormous, we ate breakfast and lunch there every day that we didn't go out. Access to the dock and snorkeling was simple and straightforward. Security was excellent. Vanessa was very thorough checking us in and always accessable if we needed help. We experienced NO problems with bugs despite some earlier comments I had seen!

Beautiful Villa on the Beach
We spent a week at Spooky Channel Villa with another couple and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa comes with a large kitchen with all the cooking amenities; two large bedrooms with bathroom in each. Lovely beach-facing patio. We would definitely recommend it to other families or two couples wanting a getaway.

Fun house on a beautiful quite beach
After a week of non-stop diving, we looked for a beach house to relax for a few days before heading home. Spooky Chanel house was perfect! The house was fun and well stocked. The beach was lovely and the snorkeling easy access (swim from the dock) and very good. The neighborhood is quiet, yet just a short drive to great restaurants. The house was very safe - fortresslike with heavy locks and window grids. We would happily return in the future.

Great spot on the west end of the island. It’s close to everything but very private at the same time. Rental came equipped with everything one needs to enjoy a great vacation. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome, great location and very private!!
My son and I just got back from a tremendous scuba diving trip in Roatan Honduras. The house is accurate described in the VRBO listing and it was perfect for us. Like most of Honduras, getting to the house was an adventure and we loved the way the rural roads lead to the beautiful house on an amazing beach. We dove nearly every morning and used Sunnay Bay Divers just down the beach which we would highly recommend. House had everything we needed and AC worked well to cool down at night in the bedrooms. The outside seating in the morning with a cup of coffee is tremendous. Very private setting and enjoyed the house and location tremendously.

Stay at Sunnyside 9-23 Feb 2020
We had great a time in Roatan. The house is perfect for two couples. Snorkelling was amazing. There are two great restaurants a five minute walk down the beach, the Jolly Octopus and Real King, the food is amazing. We went in to West Bay where the beaches are beautiful. The sand fleas and mosquitoes are bad bring lots of bug spray. Would definitely recommend staying here.
