good hotel in Koreagon Park
I stayed at Oakwood Residence for 5 nights in February. As I expect it and I am used from Oakwood the service personell is exceptionally friendly, but - unfortunately- regarding the execution of the service, it really depends with whom you are dealing... Trying to book a pickup from the airport a few days prior to my stay didn't work at all: I called and wanted wanted to book a pick up from the airport, but was asked to write an email. After doing so, I never got an answer. Even after a reminder, I still got no answer, so arriving at Pune airport I had to organize the transport to the hotel by myself.
Anyhow during my stay, the personell was really friendly and helpful.
Although the hotel is not the newest, rooms (including kitchenette) are quite nice and clean. You don't really need a room with balcony since you won't stay long outside because it is quite loud. To be able to use the laundry room (one on each floor) is quite handy. If you have to iron your laundry there is a iron and ironing board in your room.
What I didn't like about the room: The carpet in the living area appeared to be quite old and kind of dirty. My iron was broken.
