„We have stayed at Palmetto Cottage 2 years in a row. It is a beautiful property in a fabulous location. It is homey, has central AC, if needed, and lots of kitchen goods for cooking meals. Both the inside living space and the porch were great for sitting and relaxing. The sandbar and beach are stunning. “

„The house is one of the newer on the island. It is located on RUSSELL island , across from the wonderful Sandbar. I would not say there is direct access to a beach. But you can easily hang out at the Sandbar beach, which is super popular destination for boaters to pull up, calm water, great food and drink. „We loved our 9 days here! Views were amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice. We made good use of the kayaks, the kitchen, and the pool. The sandbar was right down the street (an easy kayak away) and the golf cart made getting into town easy and fun. Beautiful area, loved the seclusion. Highly recommend!“

„We really enjoyed our time here. The house was just right for us and the private beach was awesome for the couple days we stayed in and did nothing. We loved kayaking in the calm waters around the house, grilling on the grill on the patio, playing cards in the evening, and simply disconnecting. „This place is a great refugium and the spot can't get any better. If you prefer it causal, this place is hard to beat. Supermarket is in walking distance and to the harbor to buy some fish, takes about 10 minutes with the golf cart. There are kayaks in the shack to get out to the sandbank. „Loved the local Whale Point Beach, turtles galore and some fun fishing from the kayaks! Beautiful view of the Atlantic from the house, and easy walk to the calmer, turquoise water. The kayaks are nice and really made this place for us with the easy access to Bottom Harbor. Pittman's Cove for conch salad with local island vibe and Daddy Joe's for toasted coconut pina coladas were our favorites. We found the digital guide the owner provided very helpful. “

„Fantastic! A great location and a perfect place to unwind and relax. The wonderful view was enjoyable from both inside and out on the deck. Our host was super helpful and responsive. The kitchen and cottage in general were very well equipped, well maintained and, up to date. We walked to the Sand Bar for delicious food and cocktails, everything else was a short golf cart ride away. Highly recommended. “
