The right place to relax
We can really recommend the cabin at the river. It is clean, well equipped and the surroundings with mountains, waterfalls, creeks are astonishing and the right place to relax. We have left now a few days ago and miss already the big patio, the nice grill and listening to the natural sound of the river. The cabin is also having Wifi, being enough for streaming in HD. If there is one thing that we did not like so much, is the sulfur smell of the tap water. Which was easy to fix by using bottled water for brushing the teeth.

Place was better than the pictures. So quiet except for the lovely river sound. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone. Dry clean! They answer any questions faster than any other place I have stayed. Loved it! Would highly recommend.

From the well appointed cabin to the lovely river and wildlife, we couldn’t have asked for more. Only regret was just staying for 2 nights. Needed more time to enjoy this wonderful getaway! Host could not have been more welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend!

Second Five Star Stay
The cabin was perfect for family time for grandparents and three grandchildren (4,5,9 y/0). The accommodations were clean and all we needed to cook meals, relax, and rest. VERY comfortable. The host's communication was timely and professional. The river was clear and easy pace to float. The cabin is just far enough "away" yet close to fun activities. During our time there we visited waterfalls, rafted the Nantahala, tubed the river behind the cabin, mined for gems, visited Fontana Dam & Bryson City, took a late afternoon pontoon ride, went on a guided fishing trip, and the kids loved "The Factory." We cannot wait to return.

Perfect!
We had a wonderful time at wine down. It was perfect. For a couple that loves fishing and outdoors this place is a gem. The sound of the water is very relaxing and the view at night, watching the fireflies was spectacular. Love everything about this place. The cabin has everything we needed (even sunscreen!). Property owner or manager was easy to reach and very accommodating. Will definitely come back.

Riverside Paradise
Everything about our stay was perfect from beginning to end. The host was very prompt and helpful in answering questions. The house was exactly as listed and so clean and comfortable and very well stocked with all the comforts of home. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed morning and evening fires by the river, with firewood delivered by a very nice man and his father at a very reasonable rate. We would definitely rent this home again in the future if possible.

Great getaway in the mountains
The property is absolutely gorgeous and located close to town. We enjoyed watching wildlife and people floating in the river. Our only complaint was the water in the house smelled like sulfur. The property manager came right away to change the filter and it helped but you can still smell it. As someone with a well myself I struggle with the same issues. Didn’t keep us from having a great stay. Just make sure you bring your own drinking water.

This property was very clean, and the amenities were as advertised. We cooked some meals there, and we had everything we needed. The house is a little off the beaten path, so our cell phone reception was limited, but the Wifi was fine. I have stayed in alot of vacation rentals, and must say again my biggest compliment is how clean it was!!!

Peace and Tranquility
This is my second time staying here. This time I took my elderly parents (Mom has late stage dementia and Dad has heart and other heath issues). We enjoyed the peace and tranquility so much that we added an extra night to our stay! The house is amazing too!! Everything you need for a relaxing get away.

Quiet spot on a beautiful river
Property was as described. Host was able to be contacted for any issues that arose. The hosts also graciously provide k-cup coffee and kindling for the riverside fire pit. The area is nicely remote enough to be quiet but close enough that a 20 min ride gets you most anything you’d need. One word of advice is that if you plan on a having a fire over a few nights time then it might be better to bring your own wood or ask the host for a contact for wood delivery. You will spend a small fortune if you just buy bundles from the nearby gas station. All in all great place to stay, especially if you’re like my family and just want to read while listening to the water.

Perfect Vacation Spot!
The cabin was delightful in all respects - accommodations, cleanliness, location, and overall comfort. The host's communication was timely and professional. The river was so relaxing. You are "away" from the hustle and bustle yet close to interesting towns with shops and restaurants. While there, we visited Bryson City, Stecoah, Highlands, Cherokee, Waynesville, & Franklin, NC; Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN; and Helen & Dillard, GA. We will absolutely be back!

Sound of the River, Sight of the Birds
Absolutely wonderful stay for Thanksgiving through Sunday. The pictures and description on the site are 100% accurate. The kitchen is very well equipped for everyday use. The decor is tasteful, the fireplace is awesome, and the sound of the river-wow.....everything is what a VRBO should be. The only issue we encountered is the stairs UP. This trip was a 90th birthday gift for my mom and she had difficulty navigating the stairs. Once she got up the stairs all was well as we were cabin bound intentionally. I think the requirement of using stairs to access the property should be mentioned. In fact, due to potential disabilities by all VRBO guests, the issue of stairs should be spelled out in all VRBO listings. Again,this is not a complaint, just a real-life comment. I am a avid birder and was fortunate enough to catch sight of about a dozen female common mergansers rafting upstream. (These are rare in NC/SC so quite a find.) I would stay here again without a doubt!
