Die Thunder Butte Mountain Lodge mit 360-Grad-Blick befindet sich auf 40 Hektar, nur eine kurze Fahrt außerhalb von Woodland Park, Colorado.

Die Lodge selbst ist von Kiefern umgeben und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick in alle Richtungen. Es gibt einen Whirlpool für 8 Personen sowie eine Feuerstelle im Freien.

Es gibt 6 voll ausgestattete Suiten, 4 haben Whirlpools im Badbereich sowie Duschen. Es gibt zwei weitere Schlafzimmer und ein Schlafzimmer. Die Lodge bietet derzeit Platz für bis zu 23 Gäste. Die meisten Suiten verfügen über individuelle Decks. Alle Suiten verfügen über Flachbildfernseher, einige über Mikrowellen und Kaffeemaschinen.

Auf der Ausgangsebene befindet sich eine Pub-Bar mit Billardtisch, Dartscheibe und Brettspielen. Der Barbereich verfügt über eine Bar in Pub-Höhe, einen großen Kühlschrank und ein Kochfeld. Alles was Sie brauchen ist ein Barkeeper und Sie sind bereit für die Nacht.

Genießen Sie ein Glas Ihres Lieblingsweins im Außenwhirlpool für 8 Personen. Welchen besseren Ort gibt es, um die wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Thunder Butte Mountain, den Sleeping Giant, die Turkey Rock und die Citadel Formationen zu genießen.

Setzen Sie sich störungsfrei unter die Sterne der Stadt und umrunden Sie die riesige Feuerstelle mit viel Platz, um all Ihre Freunde oder Familie zu versammeln.

Outdoor-Spiele wie Hufeisen, Leitergolf und Krocket sind an Ihren Fingerspitzen.

Championship Mountain Golf nur 15 Minuten die Straße runter.

Auf dem Grundstück dürfen keine ATVs gefahren werden, aber es gibt 65 km ATV-Trails in 5 Minuten Entfernung. Mieten sind auch in Woodland Park aus verschiedenen Quellen erhältlich.

Es gibt einen Fitnessraum mit Dampfdusche und Sauna.

Großer großer Raum mit einer zweistöckigen Decke. Wunderbar für die Unterhaltung großer Gruppen.

Eine Küche mit viel Platz für die Zubereitung von Speisen. Ein großer kommerzieller Gasherd mit Heißluftofen, großem Kühlschrank in der Küche und einem weiteren in der Speisekammer.

Es gibt auch eine Frühstücksecke mit Blick auf den Thunder Butte Mountain.

Goldmedaille Angeln nur 9 Meilen die Straße hinauf, wo die Flüsse North und South Platte treffen.

Auch Manitou Lake ein paar Meilen in die andere Richtung für mehr Angeln.

To say this was my best VRBO stay to date would be an understatement. As my future wife and I planned our wedding, the host Tiffany, could not have been more flexible or more helpful in the wedding process. Tiffany recommended excellent vendors (great for someone coming out of state to get married) and ultimately just remained available for questions and concerns as we planned our big day. We had guests ranging from 2 years old to 70 years old and everyone had a great week enjoying the beauty of the Thunder Butte Lodge. Would recommend for any large get together. Perfect home for large family gathering
We just had an extended family vacation with 19 family members and had the most amazing time. The lodge was perfect for our needs and so spacious. The property was amazing and if we weren’t off site, we were hiking on the property or enjoying the other amenities. We did plenty of site seeing during the week, but also enjoyed down time at the Lodge. Coming from the east coast, the mountains were just amazing and the weather was perfect. The home had so much space. We could either gather together or spread out if we wanted to. The kitchen was well stocked and maybe had the best view in the house :o) We often found all of us in the kitchen while preparing food because it was so inviting! The huge dining room was stunning and a great gathering place. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. We spent time in the amphitheater star gazing on clear nights. We can’t say enough about the Lodge and Tiffany, the host! She was so incredibly helpful and attentive and if we ever make it back to Woodland Park, we will definitely stay here again. If you get a chance to stay in this amazing house…be sure to fill the hummingbird feeder by the fire pit. You won’t be disappointed. They kept us entertained every day!

Great Place for a Family Reunion
We spent a week here and this place is great for large groups. 45 minutes - 1 hr from some great tourist spots (Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods). Huge kitchen and dining area that accommodated our group of 19 people from 5 different families. Plenary of private bedrooms and bathrooms. No AC, but the cool mountain breeze through the open windows on 85+ degree days kept the house comfortable. Very hilly on the property with some great places to walk around. The fire pit was great at night. The hot tub was huge and clean. We would definitely stay again! Thanks to a great host.

Perfect Mountain Getaway for Family Reunion and Micro Wedding!
Our family of 15 along with 2 of our close friends stayed at Thunder Butte Mountain Lodge for a few days for a family vacation. It was also to celebrate our wedding. The place is well taken care of and the view is breathtaking. We never got tired of waking up to mountains in the backyard with a cup of coffee in hand and fall breeze brushing through our hair. There's plenty of things to explore and keep everyone entertained. Let it be a small yet steep hike or a dip in the hot tub. Downtown Woodland Park is also just 20min away with groceries stores and plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, to try out. Some items in the house did need repairs and the site manager Tiffany always provided us with prompt responses. Tiffany definitely made sure that our stay was as comfortable and memorable as it could be. We really appreciate her help and communications. We can't wait to be back in the future for a reunion.

Mountain mansion family reunion
The description and photos of this property do not do it justice. This place is spectacular! 1 1/2 hours from Denver. Beautiful and easy drive. We had a family reunion with 8 families in the lodge, a few that stayed in woodland park and plenty of room to park an rv. Everyone was comfortable in their spacious beautiful rooms. So many great places to gather. The pub was a huge hit with bar, fridge, sink, plenty of seating, beautiful pool table and large patio with propane fire pit. Lodge provided back up propane tanks. We also enjoyed the large firepit. Bring lawn chairs as those are not provided. The hot tub was clean hot with a beautiful view. The steam room was amazing as well as the sauna and a nice place to exercise. Games and toys provided for the kids. Beautiful large deck’s with views like a postcard. Beautiful stadium area that we used for family photos. Even found a chalk board and had chalk markers to make a sign for photos. Cooking was so easy with double oven, 8 burner stove, 2 fridges. Property had a ton of spices, dishes, pots, pans, really everything you could think of. 2 smokers with pellets and a grill. Everything in this loge was so beautiful and attention to detail was obvious. Also 2 large washers and dryers. Tiffany was so great to work with. Answering questions quickly. We really have no complaints and would 100% recommend this property for any large gathering.

The property is lovely, but there is no cell service and really no Wi-Fi. While the property has Wi-Fi network, there is effectively no internet connectivity. On the first afternoon there was some limited satellite service, but we quickly ran out of data. The limited nature of the satellite service is mentioned in a notebook on the property. There were people in our party who had hoped to work and were unable to. They had to drive several miles to send an email or even check-in for flights. The listing of "Free Wi-Fi" is completely misleading and in today's remote work environment unacceptable!

Beautiful property perfect for our family gathering
Beautiful home that was specifically built for hosting large gatherings of family/friends. We had 16 family members and there was plenty of room for all. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with an additional fridge in the adjacent pantry/laundry room. The dining/great room could easily seat 24+ for dinner. Everything was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. The weather was ideal during our stay and family members enjoyed hiking around the 40acre property, relaxing in the large hot tub and spa, and nightly conversation around the wood burning fire pit (there is also a propane fire pit on the front patio that can be used when fire bans are in effect). We also enjoyed hiking nearby in the national forest. The bar/rec room worked great for those that wanted to stay up late without disturbing others. Our only complaint was the wi-fi satellite internet service was EXTREMELY slow (barely above dial-up speed), when there should be options for faster options in today’s “connected” world - even in semi-remote locations such as this. There also was no cell service (I was able to get 1 bar if I climbed about 100yrds up the mountain behind the house). So dont plan on working remote other than answering simple emails. There arent many properties that can host large family groups like this one and it worked great for us. Thxs again for a memorable stay!!

Perfect for a mountain wedding!
My wife and I had our wedding on the property and it was everything we wanted for a mountain wedding. The lodge was big enough for our immediate families and grandparents to stay at. The county road to get there is a little bumpy but you expect that with such a remote location. The property is beautiful with views all around. Perfect for hosting a small wedding that you’ve always dreamed about. Plenty of space indoors and out!

Beautifully located in the heart of a mountain.
While the outside of the home and location are beautiful, the inside could use some updating for the price. We loved the kitchen and den, the pool table was a nice touch as well as the vast dining area! The steam rooms worked perfectly, and the hot tub and fire pit were just fine. Lots of locations to find your own space in a large house with many people if you want. I do have some complaints with the cookware, mainly that the pots and pans are not of great quality, and are what you would expect from a low budget store. Most of the nonstick were scratched extensively. I understand they may not have been treated well by other guests, however, I expected better quality all the same. Other than the cookware, there are some minor things which were needing replaced and maintained such as the door knob to the outdoor porch from the dining area, sharp edges of the tile which cut two people in the wet steam room; the handrail going up the front steps and the beginning of the driveway, which if you are not careful could easily damage the underside of a shorter vehicle. However, the location and the solitude were what made this location amazing! Being in the mountain, while having this size of a house was perfect! Would recommend for larger sized groups for sure.
