We absolutely loved the cabin and our time there! However, the communication was terrible. We were going during an ice storm and tried to communicate prior to coming if moving dates was a possibility. We didn’t hear back from the VRBO communicator until the morning of our check-in, telling us we could reschedule. However, we had already made our way to Broken Bow to stay in a hotel in order to beat the storm. We had contacted VRBO customer support, which put us in contact with the owner (she was very helpful, but she is not the same person as the VRBO contact) prior to us making our way down there, but it didn’t seem that they had communicated with each other. We were told that the cabin wouldn’t be cleaned prior to our arrival due to the ice storm, so we agreed to clean it ourselves. We were told that we would be refunded for the cleaning fee, but we never received the refund. When I inquired about this after our stay, I got one reply telling me the fee was for cleaning. I reminded her of our situation and never heard back. I hate to complain because we loved the property, but the lack of communication and not honoring their offer to refund the cleaning fee was truly unprofessional.
