„Two overnights at Tembo Hotel before end of two week holiday (safari & Zanzibar). Reception staff are very helpful and attentive. Restaurant food is below international standards and service & kitchen unfortunately very slow. Very good location and old style hotel with a unique Arabic decor & style.“

„Insgesamt eher eine Pension als ein Hotel. Von außen schwer auffindbar, da kein Schild an der Tür. Einchecken und auschecken war schlecht. Beim einchecken sprach keiner English und beim auschecken war niemand da. Die Zimmer sind klein aber ziemlich neu und nett möbliert. Im Erdgeschoss allerdings ohne irgendeine echte Aussicht. Der Innenhof ist klein und soll wohl den Frühstücksraum ersetzen. Man frühstückt zwischen aufgehänkter Wäsche. Insgesamt habe ich mehr für den Preis erwartet.“

„Freundliches Personal, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Leider kann man im Restaurant weder Wein noch Bier zum Essen bestellen. Andere Hotels in der Klasse bieten oftmals ein gutes und ausgewähltes Sortiment südafrikanischer Weine.... drum nicht wundern: Abendessen a la carte ist gut, aber kaum Gäste...“

„Worth every penny spent . In the heart of Stone town. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Spacy rooms very comfartable bed and pillow. Tastefully decorrated. We stayed for 3 nights and came back at the end of our trip to stay for our last night. They welcomed us back saying welcome back to your home. There was a lovely card in the room saying how happy they are to see us back in thrşr hotel. All in all very well run luxury boutique hotel. “

„What a wonderful stay - the room was comfortable and chic with strong AC, a comfort bed, and a nice bathroom. The rooftop bar and pool were lovely with amazing views of the ocean. Benjamin and the other staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was great - right in the heart of Stone Town. I highly recommend it! “

„I stayed here one night after landing in stone town. Perfect spot to nap on and off to get through the jet lag and be right in the heart of stone town. Extremely walkable to sites. The rooms are spacious, excellent shower and super comfy bed. Very clean and was just what I was looking for. Please note that it was a bit difficult to find. The taxi just dropped me off on the main road because cars can’t access the small streets. Once you know where it is, it’s super simple to return to“

"Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber. Von der Dachterrasse hatte man einen tollen Blick über den Hafen. Das Hotel ist auch sehr zentral gelegen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker, sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist, dass der Ablauf der Dusche völlig verstopft war, sodass das Duschwasser nicht ablaufen konnte. Ich habe mittlerweile schon mehrere Hotels dieser Preisklasse in Stone Town ausprobiert und das Seyyida ist definitiv mein Favorit. Hier werden wir wieder übernachten."
